Small Steps are Adding Up

Headed to the gym this morning and ended up taking a Versa Ball Toning class.  Lots of fun, enjoyed it a lot.  Lots of weight-lifting and core exercises and I hurt like hell right now, but it's totally a good hurt so I'm relishing it. 

Weighed in today at 243lbs. So for this week I'm only down 1/2 a pound.  Normally this would really depress me and I'd be feeling really bummed....HOWEVER....most of the workouts I've been doing have had major weight-lifting elements in them, so I've been building muscle along with losing fat.  And how do I know I'm losing fat?  Because I can once again wear a pair of jeans that I haven't been able to wear since I got pregnant with Daphnie!!  I tried them on 2-3 months ago and I had to wriggle and squeeze just to get them up around my hips and I couldn't get them buttoned.  Put them on yesterday morning--slid right on, buttoned and zipped with no problem whatsoever.  So effing excited!!!

Getting into those jeans gave me a new kickstart and I'm totally back on track with the positive energy, ready to keep going and not get down on myself just because of a number. :)  1/2 a pound is 1/2 a pound and I'll take it. 

Finally, here's a shout-out to all my family members who are working on this too: Chaz, Clara, Tammy, Rich, Renee--keep it up, I'm proud of you all!
